AFFORDABLE FLYING WITH THE SUWANNEE VALLEY FLYING CLUB- If you live in the Live Oak area, learn how you can fly as cheaply as possible. The SVFC is based at the Suwannee County Airport and features the beautiful EAA 797 clubhouse, hangar and 3 instructors. Rates are lower than any flying club in the State of Florida. President Dave Holmes will be the presenter. Saturday, 1-2PM.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF AIRCRAFT OWNERSHIP- Our own chapter A&P-IA, Morris Brown explains exactly what aircraft owners need to know when it comes to the responsibilities of maintaining their aircraft. During and after an annual inspection, what is the owner responsible for? Who is responsible for putting an aircraft back into service. Important questions like these and much more will be answered. Saturday 1-2PM
THE RIGHT ADS-B FOR YOU- The FAA's deadline for ADS-B out compliance is fast approaching in 2020. Paul Nehring from Quest Avionics will explain the how ADS-B works, what airspaces are affected, and what specific equipment will satisfy your needs. Saturday 9:30AM-10:30AM.
GETTING YOUR SEAPLANE RATING- Jack Brown's Seaplane Base presents everything you wanted to know about getting your seaplane rating. Imagine just how cool and fun it would be flying off of water. Add another rating to your ticket and build your pilot skills. Once you get your rating, you can fly in to Jack's with your SEL or MEL and go have some fun in one of Jack's planes! Saturday 10:30-11:30AM.
AVIATION WEATHER WITH THE NEW GOES-R NOAA SATELLITE- Peter Wolf from NOAA is excited to show off all the new weather capabilities of their new satellite for pilots. Learn how to make the maximum use of NOAA's weather data. Saturday 2-3PM.
